Join the Student Volunteer Connection in our mission to end hunger within the TAMU-CC community. Watch various Departments, Offices, and Student Organizations compete in a canned food building competition throughout the day in the University Center.

All structures will be made entirely from canned food or non-perishable food items within a 5’ x 5’ space. The “building materials” will then be donated to Izzy’s Food Pantry (TAMU-CC’s on campus food pantry) after the event.

Interested in competing? Teams (comprised of students or faculty/staff) can register via their spirit competition forms. Registration closes at Noon on Friday, February 21, 2020.

All are invited to help Texas A&M-Corpus Christi TIP-OFF HOMECOMING! Enjoy some music and great food. Plus, paint the anchor WHITE just for Homecoming. The anchor tradition dates back to 1947 and the days of the Tarpons and the University of Corpus Christi. Help us get the week started off right!

An official countdown to the start of Homecoming with President Miller and Izzy, complete with confetti cannons (yes, confetti cannons), will take place at 5:00pm announcing the START of Homecoming.

Student vs. Faculty/Staff Basketball Game

The annual Student vs. Faculty/Staff basketball game is a staple homecoming tradition that gives students an opportunity to compete against professional members of the TAMU-CC family. Students are encouraged to participate and represent their own team. This game also hosts a halftime show by the Islander Cheer and Dance team, presentation of the Homecoming court, and attendance prizes for the fans.

Attend the Annual Islander Homecoming Honors Banquet to celebrate our Distinguished Alumni and Islander Athletic Hall of Honor inductees. Ticket prices are $35 for recent graduates (2015 or later) and $50 for all other alumni and individuals. Tables of 8 are also available for $350. The event will feature Distinguished Alumni Awards to Larry Mills ’77, Christine Salch ’84, Mayra Viviana Zamora ’10, ’14 and induction of Brianna Brink ’15, ’17 in the Islanders Athletics Hall of Honor.
